Booking a chauffeur means telling us where you will be and when, which is more sensitive than most online purchases. This page is specific about what we do with that.

What we collect when you book

  • Contact details — name, email, phone number.
  • Journey details — pickup and drop-off addresses, date and time, passenger and luggage counts, and any notes you add.
  • Flight number, if you give one, used to track your arrival.
  • Payment — handled by Stripe. We receive a payment reference and the amount. We never see or store your card number.

Who we share it with, and how much

This is the important part. Your journey details are shown to operators so they can decide whether to take the job — but your name, phone number and email are not released until an operator actually accepts. Operators who decline, or who were offered the job and lost it to someone else, never receive your contact details.

Once an operator accepts, they receive your name, phone number, email and the full journey details, because they cannot collect you otherwise. They are independent companies and are responsible for their own handling of that data under their local law.

Beyond that, we share personal data only with: Stripe (payment processing), our email delivery infrastructure, and anyone we are legally required to disclose to. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.

Address lookups

To price a journey we send the pickup and drop-off text you type to OpenStreetMap's geocoding service and a routing service, to convert them to coordinates and a road distance. Those requests contain the addresses but not your name or contact details. Results are cached so repeat lookups do not leave again.

How long we keep it

Booking records are retained while they are needed to run the service and then for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep transaction records — typically several years. Operator licence and insurance details are kept for as long as the operator is active with us, because they are the evidence that we vetted them.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to remember your quote between the search and booking steps, and a cookie to remember your language choice. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deletion requests are honoured except where we are legally required to retain a transaction record. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing or to complain to a data protection authority.

To exercise any of this, contact us from the email address on the booking.

Security

Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. Access to booking data is limited to the people who need it to run the service and to the operator assigned to your journey.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and its date.
