Terms of Service

1. Who you are contracting with
Hire.Limo is a booking and dispatch platform. We do not own vehicles and we do not employ chauffeurs. When you book, you are paying us to arrange transport, and the journey itself is performed by an independent, licensed chauffeur company ("the operator") that accepts the job. Your contract for the carriage itself is with that operator; your contract with us is for arranging it, taking payment, and supporting you if something goes wrong.
2. What a quoted price includes
The price we quote for a specific journey is fixed and covers: the vehicle class you selected, the route you described, tolls and road or congestion charges on that route, any airport pickup fee, and standard waiting time. It is charged in the currency of the pickup city.
The price does not cover, and may be charged in addition:
- Changes you make on the day — extra stops, a different destination, or a materially different route.
- Waiting well beyond the included window. The operator will tell you before any additional waiting time starts running.
- Cleaning or damage caused by passengers beyond normal use.
- Gratuities, which are never required and never added automatically.
3. Payment
Bookings are paid in full at the time of booking. This is what allows us to hand the operator a confirmed job rather than a lead. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card number.
4. Assignment, and what happens if nobody accepts
After payment we offer your job to vetted operators covering your pickup city who can supply the vehicle class you chose. Operators may accept or decline. We confirm by email as soon as one accepts.
If no operator accepts your booking, we will contact you to rearrange or, failing that, refund you in full. We do not keep money for a journey we could not arrange.
5. Cancellation and refunds
- More than 24 hours before pickup: cancel for a full refund to your original payment method.
- Within 24 hours of pickup: we may retain part or all of the fare, because the operator has by then committed a vehicle and a driver to your time slot.
- No-show: if you do not appear at the pickup point and do not contact us or the operator, the fare is not refundable.
- Cancelled or diverted flight: tell us as soon as you can. Where you gave us a flight number and the cancellation is the airline's doing, we will rebook or refund you.
Statutory consumer rights in your country apply on top of the above and are not reduced by it.
6. Flight tracking and waiting
If you give a flight number, the operator tracks the arrival and adjusts the pickup time. A delayed landing does not cost you extra. Flight data comes from third parties and can be wrong or late, so please still make contact if something is clearly amiss.
7. Your responsibilities
- Give an accurate pickup address and a phone number that works in the country you are travelling in. Most failed pickups are caused by an unreachable passenger.
- Book a vehicle class that fits your party and luggage. If more passengers or bags appear than were booked, the operator may decline to carry them, and this is not refundable.
- Tell us in advance about child seats, wheelchair access, or anything else that changes which vehicle can do the job.
8. Operators
Operators applying to the platform must hold a current private-hire, PSV or locally equivalent operator licence and insurance valid for carrying paying passengers, and must give us the licence number and both expiry dates. We verify these before approval and re-check the expiry dates automatically when dispatching work; an operator whose paperwork has lapsed stops receiving jobs.
Operators are independent contractors, not our employees or agents. Commission is deducted from the fare on jobs an operator accepts and completes.
9. Liability
We are responsible for arranging your booking properly, taking payment correctly, and putting things right when we get that wrong. We are not liable for the operator's conduct during the journey beyond our obligations as the arranging party. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force for your booking is the one published when you booked.
11. Contact
Questions about a booking, a cancellation or these terms: contact us, quoting your booking reference.
